About Me
I’ve recently returned to Canada after working overseas for the past 25 year practicing as a Psychologist (registered in Australia). I have been employed in a number of international schools and also maintained a private practice working with adults, teens and families.
3 Elements was created with the understanding that each of us is on our own personal journey. What truly makes us who we are includes a number of factors including upbringing/parenting styles, cultural background, personal beliefs, unique experiences, distinct personalities, and individual goals moving forward.
Throughout my career, I’ve learned that there are, generally speaking, 3 elements worth exploration that are often essential to improving our quality of life and overall happiness. These elements include: a deep understanding of the SELF; how we interact in communities through our RELATIONSHIPS; and beliefs about our EXISTENCE, including perceptions and understanding of the world in which we live. I explore these elements primarily through Emotion Focused Therapy, but it is also useful to examine thought patterns and behaviours in order to bring forward clarity and understanding. I therefore draw upon other therapeutic modalities including, but not limited to Psychodynamic, CBT, Family Systems, Narrative, and EMDR. I’m here to provide a safe space where we can explore one or more of these elements and help make your day to day life, not only easier, but happier.
